Weddings and Functions — Terms and Conditions
At Susan Avery we know your wedding or event is special, individual and unique.
Your wedding needs to be perfect — there are no second chances.
To turn your dream into reality, we ask for an hour of your time to assess the options. We do this by providing a complimentary consultation (usually 1-1.5 hours) with Susan or one of her stylists.
At this meeting we will talk to you about your floral, decorative and theming requirements and we will provide our professional opinion and design skills. We will discuss colours, flower types and availability, themes, styles, hire items, delivery and installation.
We can also suggest other trusted suppliers where appropriate.
After this meeting we will prepare a detailed quotation which will be emailed to you. A telephone consultation will be booked to discuss the budgets.
Once you decide to proceed with our services, you can secure the date by paying a deposit— $900 of which is non refundable.
Cancellations and Postponements
If you need to change your booking date, just let us know as soon as possible and we will work with you to find another date that suits us all.
Cancellation made within two weeks prior to the wedding require the quotation to be paid in full.
Cancellations of part of your order 3 months or less prior to the date of the function will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the total value of the order including GST of the portion that has been cancelled.
Samples and Mock-ups
We are happy to provide examples of flower types and colours.
We can make samples/mock-ups of any particular design for you, but will do so only after you have booked our services. These sample would be on our premises. The fee for a sample/mock-up is the same as its quoted price plus fifty percent.
The samples/mock-ups are the intellectual property of Susan Avery Flowers and Events. They cannot be removed from our premises and we reserve the right to prevent photography of them.
Seasonal changes or availability are part of the floral landscape and we have to work with that. We make every effort to provide you with the flowers we propose in the quotation. Sometimes changes or substitutions need to be made so we will let you know. Rest assured that any substitution would be of good quality and equal value.
All designs and budgets will be reviewed at our final pre-wedding meeting three to four week before your wedding. Once this has been updated we ask that no more changes be made.
Delivery and Installation
We will deliver, install and set up as quoted ensuring that all is perfect for you. (We even light all the candles.)
Delivery details will be confirmed by us 2-4 weeks prior to the wedding/function date but it is your responsibility, at our final pre-wedding meeting, to ensure we have the correct addresses.
We try to build in a buffer for delays which are out of our control.
Installation and Pickup
We will install and pick up as quoted.
We require access and appropriate working conditions.
Installation times will need to be confirmed with the venue.
When appropriate, we usually inform the venue of what you have employed us to do, and the time slot we need to set up.
If we are denied venue access, delayed by the venue or other supplier, or given unsafe working conditions, we will attempt complete everything as best we can. Note though, if we can’t complete the installation, due to no fault of our own, we can leave the products at the venue, let the venue or delayed supplier complete the setup, or return the products to our premises and advise you to arrange for the goods to be picked up.
We are not liable for goods be lost or damaged after delivery.
If your quotation contains hire items, you are the hirer. As hirer, you are responsible from the time of delivery to the time of pickup.
If any items are lost, damaged or stolen you will be notified within 48 hours and you, as hirer, are responsible to pay for the replacement retail cost of those items.
All your personal details are treated as confidential. Information will not be disclosed under any circumstances to other parties, without your authority.
We accept cheque, cash, direct deposit or credit card. Bank account details are on the bottom of our quotation. Goods and services will not be despatched before payments are received.
You agree and acknowledge that Susan Avery Floral Decorators Pty Limited is not responsible or accountable for any personal injury resulting from use of goods supplied to you, or on behalf of you.
Also, Susan Avery Floral Decorators Pty Limited reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions without notice. The latest version version of our Terms and Conditions is always on our website. The latest version always overrides any previous Terms and Conditions.
All images, procedures and design on our web site, in advertising and marketing materials, including but not limited to photographic images, logos, text, graphics and the like are the property of Susan Avery Floral Decorators Pty Limited. They are protected by Australian and international copyright laws.
